Most cleaning products in the market today contain soap/detergent, enzymes and/or deodorizers that MASK urine odor. After the product is applied to the urine stain, the stain is gone. However, in a couple of days the stain resurfaces darker and more prominent than before!

The reason why these products do not work on urine is simply because urine is a live protein. Once the urine hits the carpet, oriental rug, furniture or hard floors bacteria starts to grow in the area, immediately. When soap/detergent is applied to the area, the soap/detergent becomes food for the bacteria to grow! That's why the stain reappears darker and with a more prominent odor.
